Alan King is a multidisciplinary designer and artist. Much of the work he has done in his career has been digital, though he has worked in nearly all the traditional media. The early part of his career was spent in advertising and the newspaper industry where he worked as a creative director and, eventually, as an editorial cartoonist. Alan’s work was widely syndicated in Canada and the United States. He then moved into freelance illustration. His illustrations have appeared in magazines (Time, Entrepreneur, HOW, Reader’s Digest, Maclean’s), in major advertising campaigns and in children’s magazines and books. Alan has also done a fair bit of freelance writing about the visual arts.
