Acute Care Nursing Clinical NURS 1116

Our Acute Care Nursing Clinical course provides you with the opportunity to combine and apply your prior learning to the care of patients and families experiencing acute illness across the lifespan. This hospital-based clinical placement uses an immersive, interprofessional approach to expanding your communication and collaborative skills in the care of the acutely ill patient. Learn to emphasize reflective practice to promote critical thinking and decision making.

This course is intended to meet specific College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) requirements.


You must be a nurse (RN or RPN) and you must have completed your clinical pre-placement requirements.

There are no classes currently scheduled for this course; however, check back often to see if we have developed additional schedules for the upcoming term. If you would like to receive an email update when the 2023–24 academic year (September 2023 to August 2024) becomes available and open for registration, complete our notification sign-up form. This will also ensure you receive a notification at the start of the spring/summer term (May to August) this year.
