Our Administration of Medications Program helps you develop the knowledge and skills you need to perform medication administration in a health care agency or community setting. This nursing program emphasizes holistic care, cultural diversity/sensitivity, critical thinking and reflective practice. Courses take a patient-focused, family-centred and interprofessional approach. Current research, adult learning principles, social justice, best practices and lived experience provide the foundation for learning.

Prerequisites

You must be a registered nurse (RN or RPN). If you are an internationally educated nurse, you must have a letter from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).

Completion Details

You may take our PHAR 1011 Pharmacology for Nurses course or our PHAR 1012 Pharmacology for Nurses (Online) course at the same time as our NURS 9186 Mathematics for Nurses course. Once you have completed all the requirements of this program, you can request to receive a certificate of completion using the department contact information on this web page.
