Our AutoCAD 1: Basic 2D course teaches you basic 2D concepts, including drawing file management, construction/editing commands, drawing navigation, co-ordinate systems, drafting aids, drawing set-up procedures, page set-ups, plotting, layouts, viewports, inquiry commands, layers, object properties, text/text styles and dimensions. Practice using these concepts and procedures to create increasingly complex 2D technical drawings.

Course Essentials:
Free AutoCAD software is available for this course, but system requirements for AutoCAD will be specific to the version of AutoCAD you are using. (This course was developed using the Windows version of AutoCAD. If you are using a Macintosh computer, contact the department co-ordinator for assistance.) Also refer to the basic technology requirements for online courses, but note that you will also be required to have an extra 4 GB of hard drive space to download the course materials.
