Our Autodesk Civil 3D Fundamentals course teaches you to use Autodesk Civil 3D, a software that supports building information modelling for civil engineering design and construction. Civil 3D facilitates the creation of 3D models of roads, water supplies, sewers, stormwater systems, subdivisions and commercial grading. Using a hands-on approach, learn the software while also enhancing your knowledge of and skills in planning, designing, drafting and editing civil engineering projects. This Civil 3D course is intended for civil engineering technologists/technicians, architectural technologists/technicians, engineers, planners, contractors, drafters, CAD professionals and related consultants who want to enhance their civil engineering and land planning skills.

This is normally an in-class course but will be offered temporarily online while college buildings are closed.

Prerequisites

You must have completed our CADE 9115 AutoCAD 1: Basic 2D course or our CADE 9125 AutoCAD 1: Basic 2D (Distance Learning) course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)

Recommendations

You will have the most success in this course if you already have a background in civil engineering or construction technology and are familiar with the basic principles of AutoCAD before you start this course.
