Our Construction Estimating 1 course explores quantity surveying and estimating, including the critical role of the quantity surveyor/estimator in the tendering or bidding process. Learn the general principles and rules used to measure and cost construction work, and investigate estimating with electronic spreadsheets.

This course has been recognized as Gold Seal accredited training by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) and as a CIQS credit course by the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS).

Prerequisites

You must know how to read construction drawings, be familiar with construction materials and methodologies, be skilled in Microsoft Excel and have an aptitude for basic mathematical calculations.
