Our Payroll Fundamentals 2 course teaches you how to calculate and report government and third-party remittances, year-end requirements and payroll accounting at the compliance level. Learn how to effectively communicate these organizational processes and requirements to both internal and external stakeholders.
This course is equivalent to the Payroll Fundamentals 2 course offered by the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) as part of the CPA Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification. For more information, visit the CPA website.
Course Delivery Method:
This is normally an in-class course but will be offered temporarily online via Blackboard Learn/Collaborate while college buildings are closed.
In order for this course to be accepted by the CPA towards the PCP certification, you must register in and pay for this course at George Brown College and register with and pay a separate course fee to the CPA and you must achieve a passing grade of C (65%). Email email@example.com to register with the CPA. You must register with the CPA and pay the applicable CPA fees no later than 10 business days before the course start date in order to ensure the timely delivery of printed course materials and access to online materials. The CPA will ship the printed course materials to your preferred mailing address and email an access code for the online materials to your preferred email address.
You must have completed our FIN 9016 Payroll Fundamentals 1 course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
