Our Preserving and Canning course embraces the seasonal rhythm of the food harvest by teaching the traditional techniques for preserving and canning. Acquire the skills you need to make various jams, sauces, pickled vegetables, mustard, tomato sauce, chocolate syrup and other preserves. Demonstrations help you learn how to use your preserved products in recipes such as focaccia pugliese, bumbleberry pie, muffuletta, beef sliders and more.
You must bring your full George Brown chef uniform, black safety shoes (non-slip and steel toe) and tools to the first class.
