OntarioLearn description: This course continues building on the skills and knowledge learned in the Level 1 course for Quickbooks (desktop version). It covers topics such as the use of items and lists in QuickBooks, inventory management and transaction processing, general journal entries, sales tax and payroll. It also introduces the set up of a new company file in QuickBooks, user permissions and management as well as updating QuickBooks and the use of custom fields and how to customize templates.

Course Essentials:

You must have QuickBooks 2019. (Registration information for the student trial version of QuickBooks 2019 will be provided by the teacher once the course begins.) The QuickBooks software requires Windows 7 or later. (You will not be able to complete the course with any operating system older than Windows 7 or with a Macintosh. Macintosh systems are not supported in this course as the Mac edition of the software as it does not contain Canadian content.)

Prerequisites

You must have completed COMP 9541 QuickBooks 1 (Distance Learning). (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
