Our Revit for Architecture 2: Intermediate course covers intermediate-level building information modelling (BIM) concepts including custom railings, advanced annotation tools, reflected ceiling plans, detail view tools, keynotes, tags, schedules, legend views, custom in-place modelling, step footings, site modelling, site tools, landscaping, advanced rendering techniques for photorealistic perspectives and a detailed exploration of custom family creation with the Family Editor.

Course Delivery Method:

This is a self-directed online course with continuous intake registration. That means this course does not have traditional start/end dates. You can register at any time throughout the year (24 hours a day, 7 days a week), and you will have 90 calendar days from the day you receive the online access/course materials to complete the course. Make sure to register in the section (CRN) with the Date(s) range that includes the date on which you plan to start the course (keeping in mind that you will receive your online access/course materials approximately a week after you register). Teacher support will be available via email.

Course Essentials:

Free Revit software is available for this course, but system requirements for Autodesk Revit will be specific to the version of Revit you are using. Also refer to the basic technology requirements for online courses, but note that you will also be required to have an extra 4 GB of hard drive space to download the course materials. (Alternatively, DVD sets containing the course materials are available upon request. However, DVDs are temporarily unavailable while college buildings are closed.)

Prerequisites

You must have completed our CADE 9132 Revit for Architecture 1: Introduction (Distance Learning) course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
