Our Web Application Data Services course studies such database concepts as understanding entities, database normalization, creating tables and writing stored procedures to insert, update and delete data. Learn to use ADO.NET to read and write data from a wide variety of data sources. Also learn how to bind data to web controls and how to create a data class layer to interact with a database.

This course uses a blended format that combines both classroom instruction and online learning.

Course Essentials:

You must have Microsoft Visual Web Developer (which can be downloaded for free from the Internet) and you must have email and access to the Internet to be able to complete the online portion of this course.

Prerequisites

You must have completed our COMP 9581 Web Application Development and Design course or our COMP 9572 Web Application Development and Design (Distance Learning) course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
