Our Welding 2 course uses the CWBi Acorn framework to provide a combination of theoretical and practical learning opportunities that build on the welding skills you learned in our Welding 1 course. Expand your basic shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and basic gas metal arc welding (GMAW) knowledge – to include the construction and operation of welding and auxiliary equipment – and your understanding of welding health and safety. Explore basic joint design, oxy-fuel cutting and welding, and applied trade mathematics.
You must have and wear your own CSA-approved safety footwear and protective eyewear while in shop areas.
You must have completed our WELD 9038 Welding 1 course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
