Our Welding 2 Practical course uses the CWBi Acorn framework to provide practical learning opportunities that build on the welding skills you learned in our Welding 1 Practical course. Learn basic joint design, oxy-fuel cutting and welding, and applied trade mathematics as you expand your basic shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and basic gas metal arc welding (GMAW) skills. Explore the construction and operation of welding and auxiliary equipment as well as welding health and safety.
You must have and wear your own CSA-approved safety footwear and protective eyewear while in shop areas.
You must have completed our WELD 9047 Welding 1 Practical course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
Hours and Fees
You must only register for this course section if you have been contacted by the college and given permission to do so. Anyone who registers without prior permission will be removed from the course section.
