The health and safety of our students and employees are top priorities at George Brown College. We remain committed to following the guidance of government and public health authorities and encourage everyone coming to campus to review and follow Toronto Public Health guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
We also encourage students and employees to acknowledge the range of comfort levels in our community about on-campus activities. We request that you acknowledge the active role we all play in considering each others’ choices and communicating respectfully. Some of the guidelines we recommend you consider are:
- Participating in making the campus a mask-friendly environment. Masks are available at campus entrances. Anyone who chooses to wear a mask on campus will be fully supported to do so. In some cases, students may be requested to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) — including masks, eye protection, and face shields — in certain learning spaces.
- Staying up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccinations/boosters. Note that some specific academic programs require COVID-19 vaccination.
- Staying home if you are sick. Employees need to let the college know if they test positive for COVID-19 within 48 hours of being on campus by notifying their supervisor and contacting the Health, Safety and Wellness department through the employee COVID questionnaire.
